Luxury spirits collectors and art enthusiasts alike have something new to admire. A recently unveiled project called Singular Archive blends rare agave spirits with sculptural art, transforming each bottle into a collectible masterpiece.
Created by spirits entrepreneur and artist Vicente Cisneros, the collection features intricately designed vessels made from metal and crystal that hold small-batch agave spirits. Rather than simply acting as bottles, these vessels are intended to be complete works of art where the liquid itself is part of the sculpture.
The inaugural release includes pieces like the “Prisoners” series—modernist sculptural bottles containing extra-añejo agave spirits aged in a combination of ex-bourbon and French oak barrels. These spirits offer complex tasting notes such as vanilla, roasted agave, espresso, and spice.
Interestingly, the spirits in the collection are not officially classified as tequila or mezcal. This is intentional, allowing the producers to experiment with different agave varietals and production methods that fall outside traditional regulatory definitions.
The project positions itself more as a cultural and artistic endeavor than a conventional spirits brand. Cisneros describes Singular Archive as preserving rare liquids while celebrating craftsmanship, experimentation, and the heritage of agave spirits.
Collectors can request invitations to purchase these pieces, with some vessels reportedly priced starting around $20,000, emphasizing their status as both luxury spirits and collectible art.
If you appreciate rare spirits, fine design, or the intersection of art and craftsmanship, this collection is worth exploring.
